Review on Gel Ear Seals Aviation Headset by Dave Brummet

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The result was great! My previously useless headset now works better than .

While these gel ear seals were not specifically designed for my Lightspeed QFR/XCC headset, they were the right size and shape. My old ear seals have worn down to the point that my headset is practically unusable, and the gel seals I've used in the past have worked really well, so I took a chance. My headset uses "adhesive" ear seals, but I couldn't find anywhere if they were adhesive or molded. They are molded, with a small rubber rim that extends over the headset cup. I expected this but was willing to "make adjustments" if necessary. So, I just attached the gel ear seals to the headset, use a small amount of contact adhesive and let it dry completely before use. The little rubber lip was so small that it didn't matter in my "fashion". The result was great! My previously useless headset now works better than a new one (thanks to the gel). I've been flying with them for a few months now and haven't had any problems with them. I'm not sure how to change them in the future, but I don't expect it to be too difficult. Maybe just remove the ear seals and wipe away the remaining adhesive. I now have a perfectly working headset. The only reason the gel ear seals didn't get 5 stars is because I had to source the glue myself. Don't expect it to be too difficult.
