I wanted to hang some Hoyas in front of one of my windows using macrame hangers installed on the curtain rod. But the rod I had was thin metal or plastic and couldn't take the weight. I was looking to replace it with a good quality, thicker metal rod.This one is perfect. It's super sturdy and I was able to use the holes from the old rod's brackets, so no new holes had to be drilled. You can adjust how far out it hangs from the window, so if I had wider flatter planters, it would still work great. It supports the weight of the three 6" planters and curtains with no trouble at all, and no extra support needed (my window is about 3' across). Doesn't even wiggle when I spin the plants around to water them.The finish is smooth, and the finials feel/look like glass or crystal. The gold glitter gives it an extra sparkle.I highly recommend this rod if you are looking for something that is both attractive and sturdy! It's an excellent curtain rod for the price. Five stars.
