Review on Yellow Mountain Imports Mahjong Professional by Marvin Nadeau

I chose this rug despite its higher price for several reasons: 1. It's slightly larger than most other offerings; 2. Seams around the edge which I believe help prevent the surface layer from peeling off; and 3. my satisfaction with the quality of the Yellow Mountain mahjong set. My mediocre rating is solely due to the terrible quality of the tote, it literally more closely resembles paper like the stuff you use for disposable towels or towels in an upscale restaurant than acceptable nylon or other synthetic material. The carrying strap came loose literally right after opening the box when used to lift the mat (see photo). We've used the mat a few times and are happy with it, but don't think after paying a premium we have to look elsewhere for a decent carrying case.
