It was perfect for me and my application. Running cables along the walls for distribution in the attic to three pairs of speakers - each 75 feet from my living room receiver - size does matter. 4 well insulated cores in an outer sheath means 3 cables have to be pulled through the wall compared to 6 cables with 2 cores. The overall diameter was smaller to accommodate smaller drill holes in the center and top cross members between the studs (54" drill extension with drill bit drilled through the attic). The cable has an internal break cord that allows you to easily peel back/cut the sheathing as many feet as you need to cut to separate the wires. This worked great as the left and right speakers are up to 12 feet apart on my many patios. In terms of sound quality, this cable delivers excellent performance. Wire gauge for length is the rule of thumb to follow and this was perfect for me and my application. Spend more money on quality speakers than wire. This wire works!
