I chose this for my grandson because winter is coming and he has grown so much since last winter. As he will be 9 next month I chose 9/10 and they suit him very well. He will probably be able to wear it again next year. So that it doesn't get too cold on cold days, it is softly lined in the hat area and wrapped with warm flannel on the inside. It has a strong zip and buttons and pockets on each side of the zip. It's about knee length and a little poofy, but not too bad. He loves it and looks forward to wearing it. I like it because it feels durable and well made, like it will last long enough to outgrow. I would recommend it.
