I was looking for a decent DVD player for my 22 inch Samsung LCD TV for our bedroom. or. I used to take some cheaper players and they died within a year. As a result, I figured I'd put more effort into figuring out which player to buy. Samsung and I have always been a big fan of their products, I looked at Samsung players. Unfortunately I've read about several incompatibilities between Samsung TVs (overall). Since my wife gave me a Sony Blu-ray player for Christmas, I looked around at Sony and came across this DVD player. I've never been disappointed by it, and it never ceases to amaze me - probably because the TV is so small that you can plug it in. The connection was of course easy and the turntable was perfect for me. DVD, he plays them and they look absolutely stunning. Sony really did something with their upconverting processor. The remote control is quite simple and easy to use. I love the idea of syncing it with other Sony products, but unfortunately I can't test this particular feature. I have no problem recommending this player to anyone. It can be a bit pricey (to an extent, you're paying for the Sony name), but it's really worth every penny, especially when compared to lower-end products.
