I bought this for one of my bikes, the Triumph Speed Twin, which does not come with a center stand. I've considered buying an extra center stand, but at $120 plus setup time, this lift makes more sense. I can use it on other bikes and it takes up almost no space in the garage. The rubber pad on top provides traction and the jack is easy to lift (I did this with one foot while holding the bike upright). Both bikes lift off the ground slightly and the top deck is wide enough to provide a stable platform for the bike. It comes fully assembled, with instructions (barely needed), and when reduced to its smallest size, it's compact and easily tucked under a shelf or toolbox. The only thing I see is that your precious bike is off the ground and could get hit if you are clumsy or inattentive. It's a JACK, not a workstation, and it's perfectly safe and sufficient as long as you're careful about what you're doing.
