The sling has very soft shoulder straps with plenty of room for adjustment. Good quality fabric and breathable. I am 5ft 1in and 74 years old. I made the straps a little shorter. My dog is 12 pounds, 16 inches long not counting his head and 12 inches at the shoulders. It fits comfortably in your bag and leaves plenty of room without having to remove the leash. Below is storage space for XXL urine pads, collection bags and above his blanket so he can sit. The seat belt seems to be more dangerous than the safety feature. I use it to strap on his water bowl (the round blue thing). The pocket is easily accessible. It holds my 6 1/2" x 3 1/4" Android phone well but doesn't fit my husband's larger iPhone. I am very happy with this purchase!
