Great product for reptile substrates. Retains moisture but does not remain saturated and is ideal for mixing with orchid bark. It's a fairly small bag for the price so it didn't completely fill my 55 gallon aquarium, but I was able to mix it well with orchid bark and spagnum moss and get the perfect substrate. My ball python walks comfortably in the substrate and can burrow without disturbing their scales or rotting them, which I struggled with when using coir. Highly recommended for a happy reptile that requires a loose, moisture retaining substrate. Doesn't work very well on its own as there isn't a crowd, but I recommend mixing with other items. 😄 I have a very lucky snake with perfect lines!
