Bamboo Stylus for iPad (CS100K)+ Durability: Excellent! - feels firm and strong; has good natural length to touch + Accuracy: Just ok - feels like a Griffin needle which is cheaper; both still enjoy writing with worn chalk.+ Style: Simply Good β Few colors available otherwise similar to other pens on the market; A detachable pen clip is nice, but not essential. + Software: Simply good - the software is free and does not require a pen, but is recommended by Wacom. Compared to other options, it lacks pen colors, paper styles, and wrist guards. +Price: Needs work β At $29.99, this is an expensive accessory, especially considering it doesn't offer pressure-sensitive support and its tip isn't better than $19.99. Griffin+ stylus Overall: 4 out of 5 - Of the many stylus pens, this stylus is one of the best. It is VERY similar to the cheaper Griffin stylus but otherwise outperforms others on the market. Bamboo Stylus for iPad is one of the best stylus pens out there. It has a standard stem length so it looks very natural and the stem is very strong. The pen clip at the base can be removed if you wish, which is a nice feature that other pens don't seem to offer. The writing tip is decent, better than most. My big issue with stylus tips so far is that they ALL feel soft and not very accurate. I also have a Griffin stylus ([.]) and I like it about as much as this Bamboo pen. I bought a bamboo pencil because I noticed that its tip was more pointed than the Griffin's rounded tip. However, the tip of the bamboo only has this shape. As you write with it, it softens and softens, creating a thicker line. Even with my pen settings set to the finest setting, it still feels like writing/drawing with used colored pencil rather than a sharpened pencil. I'm still waiting for the sharpened pencil point. Also, I'd like to see sensitivity control akin to using a Wacom tablet with the Bamboo stylus in conjunction with their own Bamboo laptop software (free on the Apple App Store). I know iOS doesn't offer developers much control over this right now, but I was hoping that Wacom, as the industry leader, would find a way to bring some pressure sensitivity into their own software. To be honest, while not free to use Penultimate to take notes, it is better than the free Bamboo notebook app to use with this pen. The Bamboo app also offers fewer colors, paper styles, and less wrist protection than the Penultimate.
