Easy to install Plug and play instructions aren't very clear but you plug it in. So as it says let it count down from 6 to 1 then it displays ac then first go to first and release the clutch and it shows a flashing 1 then some revs then it displays -mark and then it shows 2, once it shows 2 go to 2nd gear and continue to 6th gear. Once you've done that, take it off the stand and ride it, when you turn the bike on it will now count from 1 to 6, showing you that it's calibrated, but be aware it's not is shows you what gear you are in when you step on the clutch, or when you downshift until you release the clutch, totally great product for the money, I'm not trying to downshift to 6th anymore when I am im 6th am lol also the light is bright even during the day at least red use your 3m tape too. will last much longer, great addition to my 2006 cbr600rr, very happy with it, good seller and fast shipping, it even turned up on sunday, pretty nice
