I dressed up as Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus. I didn't want any of those cheap Halloween wigs with messy plastic hair and horrible hairlines, so I looked for something higher quality but still affordable. When I stumbled upon this wig I knew I could work it up and get a great look within my budget and it didn't disappoint. I chose the color orange copper. For the styling, I started by running my fingers through the curls to pull out the tight curls. It took a little while because there is a significant amount of hair! I then sprayed dry shampoo all over to take away any shine since it's synthetic and give it a more natural matte look. I spritzed some more on the root zone, giving a highlight effect, like Bette Midler's hair in the movie. I then trimmed a few strands framing the sides of the face to create a natural hairline and better camouflage the edges of the wig. I styled the wig into the character's signature hairstyle, using small claw clips and heavy-hold hairspray to hold it in place (it's thick enough that the bobby pins don't hold it well). Finally, I trimmed quite a bit of hair in the nap area, which worked well with the style I was going for, and tucked the back edges of the wig where I gathered the hair. When resizing, I adjusted the wig to its loosest setting. and fit perfectly. I have a small head so I think it will be pretty comfortable on big heads. I really liked the mesh wig cap they included in the set - it stayed in place and was comfortable. This wig really made my look and I can't recommend it enough for the quality and price!
