Works very well, heats up almost instantly. Feels good in the hand and the end of the brush has nicely separated "teeth" that are perfect for my hair. You obviously have to be aware of what you're doing at all times, and I never start anywhere near the scalp. Too hot. I definitely wish there was a way to save the setting so it couldn't be accidentally turned off or the temperature lowered by an accidental touch while straightening your hair.
