My brush rod broke on the inside where it sticks to the motor that spins it. I needed a replacement that didn't cost an arm or a leg. That's great! I also didn't realize that the brush was actually wearing out after almost 5 years of use as I've never had a vacuum other than my Dyson that actually lasted more than a year! Now my Dyson is like new and picking up stuff left over from my old brush! Very happy, hope it lasts. Addendum: Defective after 6 months
