Review on Bell Qualifier Full Face Motorcycle 7049224 by Melvin Boss

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you are looking for a project, this helmet is for you.

Looks nice but the cheek pads are too tight for me. The wind noise was very loud until I read a comment that recommended sealing the rear vents with foam ear tips on the inside and silicone on the outside. This helped a lot along with installing the chin bar. The helmet has no chin guard, which I find ridiculous. I purchased the 30mm cheek pads to replace the 35mm cheek pads that came with the kit, the chin guard and the tinted face guard shown in the description but not included. Either way, a clear and tinted face mask is a good idea, but it's an extra expense. So $20 for the chin guard, $20 for the replacement cheek pads, and $40 for the tinted face shield is $80 on top of the $114 for the helmet itself. Also, the vents have no mesh behind them to keep bugs from flying in. I came up with something myself using a grid of color filters. A comment I read mentioned a rattle in the top vents. One was loose so I took them off, tightened the screw underneath and added some superglue to keep them from coming loose again. What else, primer and paint protection? Are the floor mats extra? I like modifying and designing things, but if you're not that kind of person, it's probably not your choice.
