Error "Toner low " works, good print quality for a third of the HP price

I've heard horror stories about third party inks causing problems. This GPC toner cartridge gets the message "No HP cartridge installed" but all functions work. The HP utility even reports the toner level. The cartridges do not quite correspond to the HP level and do not hang in the shell, but only a few mm higher. The orange ribbons and seals are a bit thicker than the HP version, but that's not a problem. Print quality and colors seem to be on par with HP so far. Not only do these cartridges work, the color cartridges deliver over 2,000 pages for around $25 per cartridge, compared to HP's 1,200 pages for $76. This is great value and removes the biggest replacement cost hurdle when choosing a color laser. You would spend $400 at HP to print the same number of pages. This report is based on my first findings. I'll let you know if there are any problems, but the manufacturer claims a two-year warranty on the cartridges, so despite HP's dire warnings, I feel safer. UPDATE: September 21, 2019 100% complete. Restarting my Mac and resetting the printer did not resolve this warning. This does not affect printing because I set the HP Utility to "Continue Printing" when I see a low toner warning. UPDATE: October 6, 2019 The toner warning is gone. Continues to print well. The print quality is good. Now I'm leaning more towards color printing, knowing there is a more affordable toner option. UPDATE: April 6, 2021 These cartridges are still popular. There's still a lot of life left. The print quality was excellent. This makes buying an HP LaserWriter a lot less painful on the wallet.
