Caps break after a few months of use

Some of my caps are starting to break. Started after about a month of use. Only one for a while I thought I had done something but now after 10 months of use a few more have these cracks. They forgive themselves too. While they can be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack, they shouldn't like the heat. You notice that the lids just feel thin, brittle and hard. They don't feel soft like other higher-end companies. Just poor quality considering I've had a Pyrex bowl and lid for a few years and still in great condition. I don't expect plastic lids to last a lifetime, but it would be nice if they lasted longer than a few months.
