So far so good, received yesterday and they haven't fallen off, size was 3mm and I got them for my 16 month old baby. which was a bit small for me but everyone says it's perfect. It's not that small, but I'd probably get 4mm. If you want it small then it's perfect, it can still be seen with the naked eye and the back twists are great because she keeps losing her earrings.
