The colors start off as vibrant and don't bleed through the paper. I was initially very pleased! But, as a law student, I do A LOT of highlighting, especially with the green highlighter. Within three weeks of use, the green highlighter dried out. The other highlighters are still effective, but I'm disappointed because I now need to buy more green highlighters specifically. If you only do occasional highlighting, these are very good because like I said, they're vibrant and don't bleed through a lot. But if you do highlighting almost every day, they may dry out pretty quickly.
