As far back as my memory can go, Sony has made mobile phones. The Xperia z5 is the last model and has been in use for over 4 years. But recently it started going to another universe, so I started looking for a replacement. Sony's flagships at the start of 2022 didn't impress me with their pricing, design, or features, so I looked elsewhere. I wasn't after the most expensive models available from competing brands; rather, I was on the lookout for anything in the sweet spot between. After researching a ton of different sites and reading countless reviews, I decided on the Pixel 3a (including, on the recommendation of Googlephile friends). First off, let me say that I do not have any regrets about my decision. The phone is excellent value for the price. Pixel is light years ahead of my previous Sony in terms of performance. That guy can really take off! Apart for pictures, all of the primary data flowed rapidly using the Pixel's included cable. Pictures were displayed in a disorganized mess throughout Google Photos and Sony's gallery. In any case, I was able to master using the phone in a few of hours. The print is in an accessible place, it reacts swiftly, the screen is top-notch, the oleophobic coating slides flawlessly, it can withstand heavy use till nightfall and moderate use for 1.5β2 days without becoming hot, the sound is satisfactory, and it won't let you down. Pleasant tremor, not at all intrusive. I had higher hopes for the camera. As far as I'm concerned, a camera is just a camera. The upcoming shot is a crisp, juicy one when the camera is turned on. As we click "take a picture," the once vibrant and stunning image in the gallery fades to gray. But that's just how I feel. Make your phone work the way you want it to by tweaking the settings (notifications, sound, menus, desktops, app access, etc.). All of this requires exploration, but only in the best of ways! Reports of no visible warning light are common. I used to play it on Sony, but I don't miss it that much now. AoD activated, utilized, and deactivated. In the end, it is unnecessary and draining on the battery. In light of the foregoing, I feel confident in giving this phone my enthusiastic endorsement. :)
