Great unit! And erase DOES work; only with CD-RW discs!

his is an excellent product! It almost got returned: I was unable to use the erase function, and called Walmart. The rep told me that it didn't work; that it was only decorative.Fortunately, I called TEAC. I was not using re-writable discs. This unit makes excellent recordings, and most of my cassettes (pre-recorded and home-made) are now safely on CD's! And the TEAC support staff is also excellent!
