Almost a great product. In some places, however, this product proves to be too brittle. #1 - You will need to snap the round ball joint into its socket after installing it in the wall. Only do this once. The practice of reassembling the assembly loosens the fingers on the ball joint and leads to subsequent failures. #2 - Don't use a tie rod. A very small amount of torque will crack the bushing where the rod is inserted. If using a rod binder, limit yourself to 1/4 turn. Recommendation: You need a person with strong hands to tighten the ring without tools. is available to tell you if you have aligned the speaker correctly. JBL did a fantastic job with the speakers themselves - I just wish these kits were made out of stronger plastic. If JBL is reading this, consider giving the rings a more convex profile and omitting the tie rod altogether.
