This is what you need to split the AUDIO into 2 pairs of TRRS headphones (3 rings). (Headphones with microphone) When we travel, my wife and I like to watch movies on the iPad or Macbook. I've had TRRS noise cancellation for a while and it has TRS in the ears. Using an old school TRS splitter meant ONE of our headsets was not working properly. Fast forward, bought and upgraded my wife's headphones to TRRS AudioTechnica noise canceling headphones like mine and VIOLA! We can watch the movie and share the audio without any problem.
