Review on Robot Coupe 112203 Quart Clear by Tom Ball

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I wish the Robot Coupe would have included this in the standard work bowl.

I bought this to replace the gray work bowl (with clear top) that comes standard with the Robot Coupe R2N. The gray work bowl warped after being washed in the dishwasher with the drying program switched on. This is not a good feature for a commercial product. I suspect this was developed with the idea that commercial dishwashers have a short wash and rinse cycle and no dry cycle. But back to the clear shell I bought as a spare: -- it mounts easily to the R2N base. I like being able to see what's happening with the food I have in my work bowl e.g. B. "Are all the onion, celery, etc. chunks evenly chopped up, or do I have a few large chunks left over?" The original bowl had a transparent lid so you could see from the top, but at the bottom of the bowl was nothing to see. The clear plastic is durable, although I won't repeat my mistake by running it through the dishwasher's dry cycle. The really nice thing about the work bowl is that unlike household food processors, the Robot Coupe work bowl has a hole in the lid so you can easily add more stuff once the bowl is locked in place. You don't have to stop the machine and open the lid to add more like you do with Cuisinart and other home use brands. I suspect Robot Coupe thinks commercial kitchen workers are smart enough not to stick their hand in the processor while it's running.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Clear
