I recently bought a 5 liter cast iron skillet and a nice cast iron wok. I also have an old set of cast iron pans that needed a good cleaning. Until recently, I didn't realize that soap should only come into contact with cast iron prior to first use. I wanted to start taking good care of my new cast iron and refurbishing and reseasoning my old set. This metal scrubber is AWESOME! After seasoning and cooking with my new wok and pan, make sure to wipe off the oil and leftovers with a paper towel (after it's long gone), add warm water to the items, and run that scrubber run few times and it's clean. , clean, clean! I lightly season the cast iron again before putting it away and it's ready for the next use. It also removed the slight haze on the glass bowl I always used. Over time, dishwashing detergent leaves a film that cannot be washed off. My glass salad bowl is shiny again.
