Review on πŸ’‘ Belkin 6-Outlet SlimLine Power Strip Surge Protector with 6ft Cord, Rotating Plug, White- 720 Joules by Carlos Reyes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good thing it's not a surge protector

It's hard to find ordinary old sockets. Almost everyone wants to add dangerous MOVs to them to provide dubious protection. Luckily it's just a regular outlet with a switch. I use a few of these on the vertical columns of the shelving system that houses our modem, router, network switches, networked storage devices, a UPS, and a serial mode filter that provides real surge suppression technology. The strips are tied to vertical columns with cable ties, which greatly simplifies the connection of devices on different shelves. The third device went into my daughter's bedroom so she can plug in a desk lamp and Chromebook while she's home during the pandemic. as our local schools are not open yet. The unit I saw and bought was advertised as having 6 outlets, with an on/off switch and NO OVER VOLTAGE PROTECTION (yes).

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
