Disappointed with AC parts and accessories

Mounting bracket is only 31" long. If your studs are 16 inches on center (like EVERY HOUSE IN THE US) you will only find 2 studs at best. If it were 2-4 inches longer you could score 3 rivets. The holes that are there for mounting are also not 16 inches apart. So I had to drill an extra hole where the bolt was. The channel where the tie bolts entered is too narrow. I had to grind down 2 washers for each bolt to slide out high enough for the bushing to accept the bolts. Not enough space for a wrench. All in all, there should be a better mount.
