These headphones sound fantastic, have plenty of mounting options, are comfortable and are attractively priced. BUT - if you move the cable or touch it in any way, that noise will be loudly transmitted to the headphones and be very annoying and distracting to the point of making them virtually unusable. To be clear, this is not a static/crackling noise. Is this physical noise caused by the ribbon cable? I've never had headphones or earphones with the same problem. Very disappointed with the design flaw and very surprised that they survived the testing phase. Destroys the otherwise best in-ear headphones. A rare mistake by Mackie. I would return them if I could.
