Used them on a trip yesterday and if left in place they work fine. At rest, if you're not careful where you put your foot on the footpegs or pedals and then shift gears again, the screen will move forward and you won't be able to get it under the footpeg. So you're too focused on putting your foot under the bar, you're not concentrating on the riding. Might be a bit dangerous. Luckily it has a latch to hold your laces in place (need to have laces for that) or it will come loose, and goodbye, your good shoe tread. An improvement would be to make it less thick so as not to get in the way when shifting. Difficult to work with as it only covers a small area. The leather is great and it looks cool on the shoes.
