Review on Instantly Release Steam Safely With The Silicone Diverter Accessory For Instant Pot And Other Cookers by John Mahfood

Good product: my feedback

This is a much needed product for those of us who have our Instant Pots under something. The only issue I have with this is the fit is so snug it almost has to be forced onto the valve, causing potential steam leaks that could possibly burn. And when you pull it off, it wants to take the valve off with it. Nothing bad has happened and it doesn't take the valve off with it, it's just a little too snug but maybe it has to be that way.Other than that, I just wanted to say, this is NOT intended to rest on top of your valve while the food is cooking! Place it on the valve ONLY when you're ready to release the steam and turn it. The valve is in place because it's pressure sensitive and will release pressure that gets built up too much, releasing what would otherwise blow up your Instant Pot. Resting it on the valve while cooking negates this safety feature and puts anyone around the pot in danger. Use as directed. It's a good product. Would recommend.
