Review on ๐Ÿญ Niteangel Expanded Living Space - MDF Aspen Cage for Hamsters, Degus, Mices, and Similar-Sized Pets by Robin Joseph

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Niteangel is here to end the reign of tiny cheap plastic cells!

A male Syrian hamster lives in my aviary. I've argued between this and the Ikea Detolf, but this suitcase has more depth and width despite the slightly smaller footprint. I also had about 50 inches along the wall that I wanted to use but not 6 feet for Detolf. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and I think my little Yum-Ham loves it too! Pros: This is the largest aviary available, exceeding US minimum space requirements for hamsters and mice. It also meets the German minimum care standards if you want to simulate your care. I would recommend the largest Syrian hamster aviary but the size is average can fit a lazy or elderly Syrian man. If you want to achieve more, you have to build something yourself. It is quite spacious and allows you to create interesting settings and a lot of enrichment. You can easily fit 12" of bedding and still have room to add wheels and other items! Niteangel offers a variety of quality items that you can customize to match the color and theme of your case. The lack of staffs means you can easily spot your friend and their shenanigans, and watch them dig too! Unlike a 75 gallon (equal to square foot) aquarium, you can pack this enclosure if you move house or if you decide you won't have hamsters for a while. I have heard many people in hamster groups say that this aviary is difficult to set up. . I didn't feel like it was like that at all. I had problems with Ikea furniture. It's pretty easy and took about 30 minutes to put together. I'd recommend having an assistant and using the gloves they provide (they come in two sizes which is great for my small hands) if you don't want to break the left and right nail when adding strips. Cons: It's a bit on the weak side, but it shouldn't be a problem for most people. I would be wary if you have kids or big dogs that like to run and bump into things. For a clumsy adult I haven't had any problems so far. A little awkward to bend down and clean. The quarantine has me unnerved and my guy prefers digging to the bottom and pooping/pissing in the corners than using his skins with cameras. So when it comes to cleaning, I have to go in and try to clean, which is a bit rough. I see there are other models of this case available in China as well as an opening latch on the front window glass for this model. (Floor casters too!) This would make cleaning, interaction and organization so much easier! My little friend froze and got a little scared since he opened from above so maybe that's something to be aware of too. Mine is not skittish (ethically raised) but you can take care of how to reach him if you have a hamster at a pet shop/ambulance. All in all, if you want something roomy but don't have a DIY option and are unsure about using Detolf, I recommend this case! While there are many trellis cages that meet or exceed the minimum requirements, this particular aviary is far more beautiful to look at and offers flexibility in what you can do with it.
