Not effective for pain relief before tattooing.
My tattoo artist recommended a special numbing solution for my recent work which was to be on a very sensitive and painful area. I couldn't find what he recommended so chose this one instead. Maybe I didn't apply it thick enough (applied 45 minutes before and 15 minutes before) and of course I felt every part of the 3 hour session. There were a few spots where the pain was definitely numb, but 90% of the surface I used it on was very painful. Do not drive with this product.
