On the Galaxy S8 you cannot hear the person you are calling IF they are also in the Galaxy and on the same network. We all have an S8 on the Verizon network too. My friend also has an S10 on Verizon. You can make HD calls between Galaxy and Galaxy on the same network. For some reason, the Sony headset makes her voice so quiet that you can't hear her. Now I call iPhones, at least for a pixel and everything is fine and normal. Call quality is great, music playback is great, sound is good, and the headset still has a battery for all day gaming. AMAZING battery life. Telephone calls in messengers also work perfectly. Just Galaxy to Galaxy on one of the major carriers that allow HD calling and you can't hear the person you're talking to. I ended up giving them to a friend who uses cheaper Samsung A-series phones. He loves it and it works great for him.
