Stop me if you've heard this before. Only twelve screws are required for complete assembly. They must match the nuts built into the chair parts. They don't fit very well. There are also four washers to keep the screws from breaking through the plastic holes. Washers do not fit in holes. Not even close. If you have four smaller washers lying around that fit the holes but aren't too small, you've got the edge. If you try to hammer the washers into the holes with a hammer, they will bend and the bolt will not be able to push through the washer and plastic hole into the misaligned nuts that are set deep in the chair parts. If you manage to put it together with the help of some magical handmade marvel, the final slap in the face will be that the plastic screw covers don't go in the holes along with the screw heads. Just a design nightmare. I hope you can have a lot of patience for this.
