I've reluctantly updated the D-Link DIR-816L. I'm actually very impressed with this new router. It seems oddly large compared to my old D-Link. However, it was easy to set up after a few minutes of navigating the navigation menu. I didn't have to mess with setting up the 2.4 and 5GHz bands as they automatically switch for you when needed, and guest access was easy, which is handy for my shop's customers/staff. I really didn't have to do much tinkering. It was easy to apply filters to blocked sites. I've found that in the real world, the transfer speed of large files over Wi-Fi has tripled with my AC-enabled adapters. The range is much better than my old D-Link WiFi router. I used to have to use a booster to get through multiple walls into the store. Now I don't have to use it anymore. It was a great purchase and so far so good. I highly recommend this product.
