Review on ๐Ÿด Tough 1 Miniature Halter with Durable Nylon Material by Alex Pollard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cheap quality but ok for the price. size up!

Made from thin nylon and light fittings, it looks very cheap overall. Of course, a mini horse is not as strong as a large horse, but I would never put a halter of this quality on a larger horse/pony. Let's see how they fare with the Mini in its current form. Be wary of a noisy mini or one that really fights/pulls, especially when tied. What everyone says about sizes is true, I ordered 2 large ones and they are VERY SMALL even for a mini halter! If you have a large mini or large head I would NOT recommend these halters. The primer is particularly small (even considering the large size) and probably won't fit minis with big noses or may prevent them from opening their mouths. Unless I had a very small foal I wouldn't risk getting anything other than a large one, especially since you can adjust the halters with slip adjusters if needed. The largest size pod is about 20 inches and the cheek pieces are about 4 inches long (trust me, it's smaller than it looks). For now I'm giving it 4 stars because it's fair enough for less than $6.50 (I'll be upset if I pay more). And I love that in addition to the regular crown strap it has 2 additional places to adjust, a sliding adjustment under the jaw and the neckline. They might be ok for a better fit, but it seems like they can slip under pressure (like when pulled back) or just over time, and if something breaks, they probably are. The small handle clasps are a nice addition and are a good length, about 8 inches long. They have a loop on one end for the rest of the leash to slide through, making them easy to remove without having to cut anything. I'm taking them off for the mini but they would come in handy if needed and I might use them on another horse in the future as they can work on any halter. Overall good for the price but definitely on the lower end of the quality spectrum. Probably good for light general use but I wouldn't trust it to a powerful mini or puller. Be sure to order more than you think you need! I will update my review if needed after using it for a while.
