I bought this ice cream scoop to make scooping hard ice cream easier. It was the best rating for work. It worked pretty well for scooping hard ice and at first I was very happy with it. Unfortunately, after just a few uses, a kind of gray stain has developed that peels off the ice cream scoop and ends up on the ice, my hands, and the kitchen towel when I tried to wash and dry the scoop. I posted a photo of the discoloration of the ice cream scoop as well as the gray stain on the kitchen towel. There is no way it appears safe to use with food. I cannot recommend this ice cream scoop.
