I like the clarity of the image on this projector. And very bright for the price. The board works well. I don't use internal speakers because I prefer a surround sound system. When I installed it I noticed a spot on the front of the lens. I've used the cloth that came with the projector to fully clean the lens and it seems to get rid of the smearing, although I don't know why it could be dirty other than a carelessness on the part of people assembling it. The lens had a cap so it must have come with marks from the factory. That said, I noticed a few issues with this projector (maybe that's why it was $60 off?): 1. Look at the attached image. The red arrow points to a fixed point on the screen. Probably a clump of dust somewhere on one of the inner lenses. I carefully cleaned the outer surface of the lens, but the dust must be inside somewhere. I wish it wasn't there, but it's a noticeable point when there's a bright scene on screen. The dot stays in the same place and once you notice it, it's a bit annoying and hard to ignore.2. That's a small thing. The top and bottom edges of the image are not sharp. Basic but fuzzy, and in addition to the blur, there is a line of lighter color when the scene is lit from above or below. For example, 1 or 2 rows of pixels are a few shades lighter than the rest of the image. I noticed the above two issues with another projector (the other projector had a couple of larger dust spots in various places), but there was also a slightly lighter line at the top and bottom. I'm wondering if this is common with projectors or only with lower end projectors. If anyone can tell me how to clean dust from the internal lenses, I'll keep this projector to myself. Otherwise I'll probably have to send it back to Revain for a refund or exchange.
