I bought this adapter to replace an inferior adapter of the same type that was losing connection on large transfers. I need this adapter to send CNC data to an old HAAS CNC router over an RS232 serial connection. At first I couldn't send data with this adapter, but I soon found that removing the null modem adapter (which the old adapter required) solved the transmission problem. I have used this adapter in conjunction with the USB to USB Isolation Module (ADUM4160) and have had no data transfer interruptions.
