The seller said I should have gone for XL and they were right! I was skeptical as I usually wear double pants and like to have a few layers under my winter coat. I played it safe and got 1X. It's definitely a bit larger than I expected but I can't fault the seller for that as they provided a sizing chart. I'll keep it because I think it will be good for the cold Chicago winter months when I wake up. The quality is really exceptional! I paid $50 and got a jacket that I think should be worth over $100! Last year I got an expensive designer down jacket that broke at the end of the season. I can say this stuff will hold up much better and it was better! This is a great alternative to a down jacket. There is a double zipper (zippers inside and outside) and buttons that really prevent cold air from entering. I'm 5'3" and the jacket was slightly above the knee, which was longer than I expected (but the longer the better in my opinion). I put it on tonight and the cold wind in my area is 15 degrees Fahrenheit. I was cute and toasted under this coat. The fleece lined pockets are also divine! My arms felt so cozy and warm. Overall I am very happy with this purchase! Update: After wearing this coat for a few weeks, I have decided to deduct a star due to inconsistent advertising and incorrect label washing instructions. The description of this jacket says the fur hood is removable. I received this jacket in white and my fur hood is not removable. I don't know how wash and dry this jacket without damaging the hood.The instructions on the tag say to remove the hood if you want to wash/dry it.How can I do that if it is not removable? I suppose I could take it to the dry cleaners, but a white jacket needs to be cleaned often. It's expensive, and if my winter coat has to be dry cleaned, what am I wearing outside?
