This teether is a simple birch ring with silicone grips but so colorful I love its simplicity! The silicone is soft but fairly durable and easy to clean. According to the product description, the teething ring is flexible. Actually it isn't. It flexes a bit, but overall it's pretty stiff. The colorful handles are made of solid silicone and are attached to a silicone ring that is tightly stretched around an inner birch ring. To clean the silicone you can hand wash it as is or remove it from the wooden ring and throw the silicone in the dishwasher. You can also wash the ring in the dishwasher, but over time it will not last long and will become rough to the touch. I can't tell if the silicone is solid or not, but still the grips don't look like they will pop out easily. Sweet tailor!
