At first I wasn't sure if this would work as most of the compartments were larger than my needles, but after some trial and error I found that to be the case could is for interchangeable addi knitting needles as well as crochet hooks and stitch holders by placing them in the smallest compartment. Much more convenient than opening and closing different suitcases or rummaging through a hiding place. It's easy to grab a cable or crochet hook, and even changing hook sizes is quicker. I wasn't sure if it would work for these items but I've been using it for a few days now and I'm very happy with it. . . I wish I had had this many years ago!
