Review on 🖨️ Sculpto 45010005 PRO2 3D Printer: Unleashing Precision and Performance by Bobby Montoya

I have been involved in 3D printing for several years and own various 3D printers. The Scuplto Pro 2 looked like a very unique and fascinating printer that was different from other printers I own, so I decided to try it out myself. This printer offers the ability to control the printer from your phone, tablet or computer, which also allows you to easily print the designs listed on Thingiverse (which has thousands and thousands of projects) without having to learn how to using slicing software. This is great for people who are new to the hobby and want to start typing right away without a huge learning curve. The Sculpto Pro 2 was packaged very well and I was happy to see that it arrived fully assembled which is a plus especially if you are new to 3D printing and don't want to spend a day putting everything together. The only part that needs to be assembled is the filament spool holder. The spool holder is very easy to assemble, but unfortunately it is of very cheap quality and breaks very easily. Mine broke without even being gross (this is a common problem that all sculpto owners complain about on the internet). I would suggest buying a good quality spool holder elsewhere or making one yourself. The quick start instructions are pretty basic, but the app really struggled to update them and connect to the printer. I almost gave up, but it finally completed the update and connected successfully after half an hour. After connecting the application, it's very easy to manage the printer and find the projects you want to print online. Having been using the printer for a while now, I can confirm that the app often fails to connect to the printer. I usually turn on the printer and have to let it idle for a few minutes before trying to connect to an application or it won't work. I also found that loading my own STL file can be tricky. When trying to select STLs from my personal files, they were greyed out and could not be selected. Uploading your own files requires some fiddling. The app makes it easy to calibrate the Z-axis to ensure you get the correct first layers. However, I've found that it's best to set the Z axis lower than the instructions specify, otherwise the first layer won't get enough "flattening". The guide says you can adjust the z-axis when printing the first layer, but you can't. After printing has started, the motors can no longer be adjusted manually. Printing must be paused before adjustments can be made. So please don't try this even if the instructions say it's ok. I also had a case where the printer moved the X-axis (lever) to its home position but the sensor didn't pick this up so it just tried to push the lever further and further away from the print bed and had the gears grinding so bad that I jumped over the wall and yanked the power cord out of the wall to stop it. Luckily it only happened once, but I'm a little nervous. Now for the print quality. I was excited to see what this printer could do, so I started with a print recommended by other Sculpto owners. This is a modified extruder motor cover designed to help prevent overheating. The print was successful and the part installed easily on the printer, but the lines on the print were not embossed strongly enough and there were visible gaps between them. Since there is no standard slicing software involved in this process, I was unable to fine-tune the issue to resolve the issue. I've tried several other prints with similar problems. However, I've found that printing all files with the "High Quality" quality setting seems to get rid of more spaces between printed lines. I decided to compare the print quality of my Ender 3 Pro to the Sculpto Pro 2, so I printed the same model on each printer and found that the Ender 3 Pro print was much better. The Ender 3 Pro also has a much better price, especially for new people, retailing for less than $200. Overall, the printer has many features that make it very easy to use and very beginner friendly, which is the main purpose of this printer. Users don't have to go through a complicated assembly process or learn how to use slicing software to use the printer. Just search for a project on Thingiverse, choose some print options and hit print! Unfortunately, as I have mentioned here, there are some issues with this printer that can be very discouraging and difficult for new users. The quality of the printer and the printed parts seems to be lacking (especially considering the price). I should also mention that Scuplto says you can only use their brand of filament with this printer, otherwise your warranty will be void. Sculpto filament is $55 per 1kg spool, while other brands are around $20 and have higher quality filament. If you are new to 3D printing I would recommend going with a cheaper, higher quality printer and taking the time to learn how to use slicing software which will make it easier to customize your prints and more proficient be able.
