Works instantly and is intuitive. 2 LEDs to indicate whether devices are connected, 2 LEDs to indicate which device is being switched to. It comes with all the necessary cables, which is a big plus. Now for the cons: 1. The remote is hot shit and works if I'm lucky. Only 1 button on the remote is needed to switch, instead I have 6 buttons. You might think that pressing 1 would switch to device 1 and 2 would switch to device 2. No, all 6 buttons do not work. Yes, I put in a new battery. It worked 50% of the time the first day, and today it just stopped. I think the remote really isn't needed and is just there to lower the rating.2. Indicator LEDs are hot bullshit. Sometimes, whether my device is powered on or not, LEDs still show "online". My second "online" LED stopped working on the second day of use, but the screen and USB peripheral switch still work. I need to unplug and reinsert Device 2's USB-B port from the KVM switch for the LED to work properly. Which brings us to 3. The USB peripheral port no longer switches normally. When I switched to device 2, my keyboard and mouse stayed connected to my first device even though the screen switched to device 2. Likewise, I had to unplug the USB-B connector from Device 2 and plug it back in. If I wanted to juggle USB, I wouldn't buy a KVM switch. Recommendations: a. Have a one-button remote control for two KVM devices switches. Because it is obvious that 6-button remote controls are difficult to design. Upgrade your ports to USB 3 or even USB C, it's 2020. I very, very much suspect that crappy online detection and USB issues are related to using USB 2.0 with newer USB-C devices plugging a USB 3.0 USB hub into a KVM switch, having a USB 2.0 port means that all my USB 3/C devices have dropped to crappy 2.0 speeds. Again, I might be asking too much for a $100 device. It's undeniably cheap and for the most part does what it's supposed to do. So 4 stars.
