UPDATE: We've had this for a few months now and the only negative I can report is that the smallest bottom post fell off. My kitten is a healthy 15 lb girl and she loves to hop/jump out of this lower stance and is also where she sharpens her claws most of the time. There's really no way to tighten the stand since it's made from pressed cardboard, but my husband MacGyver devised a fastening system to keep it in place. Otherwise it's well built, very easy to assemble and has a wide, solid base - important as my 15lb cat loves to hop onto higher platforms. My cat immediately liked the wood and uses the scratching post all the time, not my furniture. Attached toys are very attractive to her and she loves napping upstairs.
