I received this item for free in exchange for an honest review. However, I've wanted to get one of these for a long time and was excited to try it out. We bought a house that used to be owned by smokers and did everything we could to eliminate the odors (special paint, ripped out carpet, removed air ducts etc etc). I've heard of them but couldn't find anywhere nearby to rent or borrow, and they're expensive (but not this one!). We still have a few rooms in the house that have a touch of smoke so I plan on using this in the house next time everyone is out for a while. I got a chance to try it on our car which the kids wreck and smell like old food, feet and what they left there last. No longer! Now it smells. Nothing. Can't call it a "clean" smell, just nothing. That means we can put an air freshener in there and now it just smells like a clean car with air freshener, not that we're hiding the rudeness. I tried it on our disgusting trash can. Garbage can, I'm not kidding, it smells like it. Nothing. I'm serious, it's still full of junk and stuff. The product itself is well made. Metal outer shell, solid handle/timer and power cord are the same as monitor or desktop computer cables, so durable and easy to replace if you lose it. This is a great purchase and well worth it!
