I've been using the Fitbit Ionic for about 4 years now. Of course it's not guaranteed, the Ionic had a few known issues, some of which were pretty weird, like mine, the magnet in the watch holding the charging connector must have moved and after that it pushed the connector away instead of it to put on him. But Fitbit always sent me a repair and didn't even want to send the defective one back. In fact they did it about 4 times even after the warranty ran out. I suspect they knew they were having issues with the watch so this was their way of supporting the product. When Sense came out I thought I'd give it a try. Big mistake. The heart rate monitor is unable to track heart rates above 110. The photos I've attached should speak for themselves. the first from my Ionic. the second is from Sense, same machine, same settings but as you can see very different readings. No question there is a problem, just check out the Fitbit Community Sense forum on their website. Is it hardware or something that can be fixed in software? I have no idea, but I'm not interested in paying $350 for alpha testing. mine is going back BTW when I called to get a return authorization I was put off several times and they wanted me to keep trying to resolve the issue with customer service. I will never consider any other Fitbit product ever again.
