It's useful, but not in the way I was hoping.

I was very happy with this pen. I wish it ran a little smoother. You have to turn it upside down almost every time you press the button as instructed. Otherwise it clogs. It comes out fairly quickly but wasn't difficult to put together with the tray that came with it. I first used it for cleaning and after realizing how difficult it was to get all the powder out I decided to keep it for that purpose only, just to avoid contamination. It's handy for that.
