I bought this because I can't open jars anymore as I have arthritis in my hands. This is really great work. Only once did it not eat and I think there was some oil on the can. Cleaned up well and no more problems. It opens the cans that are really hard to open! However, I would caution against holding the jar on the bottom and being prepared for a loud pop as it breaks the suction and opens the lid. One thing I didn't like was trying to stop it. I still can't figure it out - all I have to do is unplug the device and let it run until it stops - lol it really saves my hands - would recommend it to anyone!
