Review on Enhance Safety and Style with Scorpion AT950 Helmet - Outrigger, Large Dual Pane Shield (White/Grey) by Kiko Fanandriansyah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great helmet for beginners!

Bought this for my new dual sport after using my motorbike helmet, wind noise after 80km/h was very harsh but that fixed it. I carry a large with my Bell Moto-9 and ordered the large here. Fits perfectly. I installed a mount for my Cardo and it fit really well, although fitting the speaker between the earbuds was a bit difficult. I was concerned that the ears would be too tight with the earbuds, but that's not a problem. The integrated sun visor is very good. And then the fold-down face makes it easy to take off, so it doesn't feel like I'm peeling the skin off my ears from the earbuds. If I have any complaints it would be the sun visor on top. The helmet doesn't move and frankly doesn't protect that much from the sun. It's almost more cosmetic at this point. The ventilation is not convincing. It's bearable, but not everywhere on the helmet. Also, it would be much better if the liner was removable. The cables of my Cardo headphones are simply stowed away where I can find space. While in my Moto-9 the cables are hidden. Speaking of the Moto-9, I really wish this helmet had MIPS. As an off-road enthusiast, this technology has saved my head more than once. I almost didn't receive this helmet for that reason, but it had too many interesting features to ignore. Now I know what you're thinking: This guy's complaints are as big as his pros. It's true, but I'm also picky. A lot of what I said would be the perfect helmet for me. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. That made the ride much more comfortable. Love the fold down sun visor and how convenient it is. Will I recommend this? I already have it. If Scorpion released a $400 model with all the stuff I heard above, would I buy it? Absolutely!

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
